Location: Eastbourne Pier
I spotted two grand chandeliers on the pier in The Victorian Tea Rooms. I knew that we had to go in & take some shots. We totally gate-crashed people having their cream teas, but the results are so worth it! We purchased some hot drinks and the staff were really kind. I just love this whole vibe.
After warming ourselves in the Tea Room, we came across these fantastic beer barrels. I love the Western vibe that the wood creates when paired with the tassled dress and heeled boots. Swipe left for more shots!
I then sited this colourful bench which I absolutely love! One of Arianne's favourite photographs was taken here - the one of her sitting on top of the colourful bench. The colours work so well and bring so much life into the picture.
We moved onto the pub towards the end of the pier. I love how the light is reflected in these windows. When shooting I said to Arianne "Act like you own the place!" She totally slayed!
Next up: Details. Details were the first thing I noticed about Arianne when I first met her. She puts such an effot into her jewellery choices; her rings, earrings, and necklaces. As well as her beautiful and delicate tattoos.
These shots have to be my fave! I love the soft colouring and the glittery dress paired against the white pier...
Next, Arianne changed outfits and we went down below the pier. The structure of the pier is so amazing underneath, I'd actually never been down there before!
Beautifully, the tide was out and there was sand lining the shore. It was perfect for a frolic on the beach & I directed Arianne to do lots of twirling and running across the sand!
I was then inspired to take some purposefully blurry shots which are very on-trend in photography at the moment. I love the delicate results and the way they capture movement and laughter. It was a great way to end the shoot.
And I just wanted to say a BIG thank you to Arianne's hype-girl Anna who kept Arianne giggling and having fun throughout! It's a great idea to bring a friend/family member along to your portrait shoot if you're feeling especially nervous.
